ADULT
BIBLE STUDIES
Throughout the year a variety of Bible study courses
are offered. Classes are generally in segments of six
weeks.
(Wednesday, 7:00PM) We are currently in the book of Genesis.
GENESIS OF CHRISTIANITY -
Genesis Of Christianity was founded in 1999 by
author and Church member Jim Jordan to learn the
roots of and discover how and why Christianity
began. It is a group that probes deeply into the
history of our Faith to understand what Jesus taught
about God and takes a fresh look at Jesus’ teaching.
Over the years the group has tackled books by
theologian Marcus Borg, Bishop Spong Joseph Campbell
and Karen Armstrong. Join us! We would love to have
your insight.
Wednesdays at 7:00 in the Chapel.
Lectionary Bible Study
Northminster Pastors Jack Raymore and Jeanie Shaw
follow the Discipline of preaching from the
lectionary, an established selection of Bible verses
over a three year period. Each week there is a
reading from the Old and New Testaments, as well as
a Psalm and an Epistle. Over the course of three
years, if you follow the lectionary, you will read
the Bible in its entirety. Class participants
acknowledge how much it brings greater understanding and
value to the Sunday worship. Join us. Prepare your heart for
the upcoming Sunday sermon with this in-depth lesson that
goes through the sermon in more detail.
Tuesdays at 1:00 (at least
through Oct. 28th) in the Library
TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE

You guessed it….we meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30
in the Library for breakfast, fellowship, and
prayerful study of Gods most holy Word. The Tuesday
morning faithful would welcome, welcome, welcome new
early risers to join them! Word on the street is
that Phyllis Tieck makes an awesome batch of scones!
This is a one hour morning study, and includes a light breakfast
prepared by
volunteers followed by reading and discussion of the
scriptures.
