Friends of the Sacramento CROP Hunger Walk,
The excitement is building for the
Annual Sacramento CROP Hunger Walk! With your help,
our interfaith community raised nearly $42,000 last year with 425
walkers!
This year’s walk will be held on
Sunday,
October 12th
with
Registration at 12:30 p.m. and Walk at 1:00 p.m. 10
K, 5 K and Executive (1 K around the Capitol) Walks
will start and end at the West Steps of the State
Capitol. We are CROP – (Communities Responding to
Overcome Poverty!)
75%
of the funds aid
in the relief, development and assistance work of
Church World Service and other international
development agencies and 25% of the funds
serve the local community through local emergency
food agencies: St. Matthews Food Closet, South
Sacramento Interfaith Partnership Food Closet, River
City Community Services, the Sacramento Food Bank
and Opening Doors, Inc.
Northminster has participated in the CROP
hunger walk for over 15 years.
